24x7 Data Center

Data Center

We are a data center neutral provider enabling us to align ourselves easily with the best performing networks. Currently our equipment is at American Internet Services – Fiber Alley Campus (FADC) in San Diego; the largest provider in the area.

This facility is SAS 70 Type II compliant and offers N+1 or better redundancy on all data center systems. The facilities are staffed 24x7x365 and have redundant AC power, cooling, and diesel generator systems; each is able to sustain major system or electrical outages without service interruption.

Secure rackmount cabinets keep us compliant
with various organizations who require total isolation.

Staffing

The data center is contracted to provide 24x7x365 on-site services including remote hands, equipment replacement and spare equipment.

A clear shot from the Network Operations Center (NOC)
into the server room helps us visually identify
issues in addition to monitoring them electronically.
The NOC is staffed 24 x 7 x 365.

Power

The data center is equipped with A/B AC power systems and an AC UPS power plant for maximum reliability. DC power is provided by multiple N+1 emergency diesel generators with a minimum of 24-hour runtime fuel capacity on-site and multiple fuel providers with 4 hour response time or better.

Cooling

The data center features multiple data-grade HVAC systems with N+1 redundancy in a raised floor configuration. The use of hot row / cold row cooling methodologies keeps air flow optimal. All cabinets are required to use blanking plates for maximum efficiency.

A clean and temperature controlled
environment keep servers running at peak performance.

Network Connectivity

The data center offers direct carrier-neutral access to many of the world’s leading carriers and network. These providers include AT&T, Global Crossing, Level 3, Savvis, Sprint, Verizon, XO & peering via Any2 Exchange & Cenic. This includes multiple on-site fiber from AT&T, Cogent, Cox, Level 3, Telepacific, Time Warner, TW Telecom and XO

Identical set of Cisco 6509 routers which provide
redundancy. Other facilities without this kind of
redundancy often have face challenges performing
simple tasks like regular network maintenance.

Redundant Multi-Homed Bandwidth. The Telco Room
is the central area where incoming and outgoing
bandwidth is routed through multiple upstream
providers over redundant OC128 fiber.

Fire Suppression

The data center utilizes a FM-200 dry-pipe, pre-action double interlock fire suppression system with zone specific discharge. In the event of a fire, air is removed from the room to quietly suppress the fire with minimal collateral damage to other cabinets.

Physical Security

The data center has a 24x7x365 on-site security staff that screens all visitors by CCTV; only authorized personnel are allowed to enter the building. All areas are monitored with a digital CCTV system and footage is stored for 6 months. A biometric hand scanner inside the man trap ensures the highest-level of security prior to entering the server room. Access within the building is restricted using key cards. All equipment is registered and tagged upon arrival and can only be removed by authorized personnel.

The "man trap" separates the server room from
front-desk areas to stop unauthorized personnel
or vendors from entering the server room.

A Bio-Metric security system is the only way
to gain access to any parts of the facility.

High Availability

There are reasons why a company elects to pay much more for hosting on a dedicated server versus a shared server. It isn't about how much traffic or how large the website is- it's ultimately about uptime and reliability.
