This announcement is regarding addon services linked to domain name registrations. Previously, ID Protect and Email Forwarding were mistakenly labeled as complimentary. If you're currently using either of these services, please note that your upcoming renewal will incur charges for ID Protect, DNS Management, and Email Forwarding. Each service will be billed at $18.95 annually.

Please check your domain name registration details to determine if any of these charges are relevant to you. To deactivate these services, log into your account, navigate to "Domains" > "My Domains," select your domain by clicking the "Active" button, and then go to "Addons" to toggle services on or off as required. We also suggest reviewing the descriptions of these services below, as they might offer more benefits than you initially realize.

ID Protect:

While our registrar is GDPR-compliant, and most domain contact information will be redacted in a public Whois lookup by default, accredited third parties (Police / Gov / Legal / Court) can also still view a domain's contact details in a gated Whois lookup. ID Protect replaces the contact information in both the public and gated Whois lookups with placeholder data. ID Protect also reduces spam. In your cloaked Whois information, we provide a proxy email address that changes several times a year. We forward email sent to the proxy address, but when the proxy address changes, spam sent to the old address bounces.

DNS Management:

EPhost provides free DNS For paying customers. However, If you would prefer to use the DNS name servers of the registrar, you may do so by enabling DNS Management. You can edit your DNS entries directly on the management screen in your account.

Email Forwarding:

If you enable the email forwarding service you can direct email sent to your domain name to another email address of your choice. This is ideal when you only need to have messages forwarded to another email address instead of paying for a full email box. Note, you will need to use the DNS service provided by the registrar above. This is still much less expensive than getting a full hosting account just for email or getting full email service. Email forwarding addresses can be set up directly on the management screen.
