Dedicated IP Addresses

Every domain hosted on the Internet is assigned an IP address. Some sites are assigned a generic IP address used by many sites on the same server using a technique called host headers. Other sites will have a dedicated IP address. An IP address is a virtual web address not entirely unlike the address of a house. Just as multiple people can share one house address, multiple entities can share the same IP address. A dedicated IP address implies you are the only user using that IP address on the server. If you would like a dedicated IP address, you can order one by using the "Order New Services" then "Product Addons" option in your control panel. Please be sure to send us an email confirming the order (https://www.ephost.com/contact/ or support AT ephost.com), as they are not automatically allocated. As we do not currently support SNI, it is required for SSL certificates.
