Most customers will not be affected as they reside on other servers. No downtime is expected during the upgrade. No IP changes will be necessary. We will inform you when the upgrade is complete.
We understand this is an inconvenience as many new customers are on that server. We felt it was important to make this upgrade quickly to "put our best foot forward" when adding new customers. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. We highly suggest you refrain from making any file changes through your website's back-end interface. e.g. DNN after 6:00pm PST (9:00pm EST).
If you have recently added a domain name to the control panel, it's likely to be on EP12. To determine if FTP will be unavailable for your website please login to the control panel and visit the Website Settings icon under your domain. On that screen refer to the web server ID.
This upgrade will be the first of many as we begin to move our shared web hosting customers to new hardware for increased performance.
