DNS stands for Domain Name System, which is the largest digital database in the world, containing information about every web site on the internet. Every web site online has an IP address that is its actual internet location, and this number is used to locate the web site within the database.  The data that tells the web server how to respond to your input is known as the DNS records, or zone files. These records play a vital role in the functionality of the internet, the DNS is crucial system for today's Internet.

WARNING: Editing your DNS information may stop your website or email to stop functioning. Incorrectly set up DNS records cause many different problems to administrators of web servers and company infrastructure.

* NOTE: Your DNS modification will be executed and implemented on our DNS server immediately. However, as with any DNS change, it may take up to 24 hours for you to see the effect in your browser. 

 

Windows Hosting Plans - Plesk

Use the Plesk Control Panel to make changes to your DNS records for your Windows Hosting Plan.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the green 'Control Panel' button
  3. Click 'Websites & Domains'
  4. Expand Domain you need to edit
  5. Click 'Hosting & DNS'
  6. Click 'DNS'
  7. Click 'Add Record' (see record types below)
  8. Modify record and click 'Ok' to save
  9. To 'Edit' click on a record, modify, and click 'Ok' to save

 

Linux Hosting Plans - cPanel

Use the cPanel control panel to make changes to your DNS records for your Linux Hosting Plan.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the green 'Control Panel' button
  3. Scroll down to the 'Domains' Section
  4. Click on 'DNS Zone Editor'
  5. Find the Domain you wish to modify and click the 'Manage' on the far left
  6. Make your changes

 

Original DNS Servers - NS1.EPHOST.COM & NS2.EPHOST.COM 

If your account is older, your domain may be using our premium nameservers. Follow the steps below to edit your DNS records using the DNS manager tool.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click 'Domains'
  3. Click 'Manage DNS'
  4. Click the 'Pencil Icon' next to the Domain you need to edit
  5. Click the 'Pencil Icon' next to the Record you need to edit
  6. Modify the form values.
  7. Click 'Confirm'
  8. To Add a record click 'Add Record'

  • Canonical Name records (CNAME)
  • Mail exchanger record (MX)
  • Name Server records (NS)
  • Reverse-lookup Pointer records (PTR)
