These are the settings you will need to configure your email client. e.g. MS Outlook or MAC Mail whether you are using POP3 or IMAP.Username: user_name@your_domain_name.com Regardless of your email client, the following settings will apply. (Click on here to be taken to your specific service LINUX SETTINGS | WINDOWS SETTINGS) Our servers will accept and support older/traditional email ports (25, 110, 143 & 587), which include unsecured and TLS protocols. However, we highly recommend using the SSL settings displayed below.
LINUX HOSTING PLANS EMAIL SETTINGS:SSL Encrypted Email: *SSL encrypted email is highly recommended as this will ensure your sensitive data is transmitted to its destination securely. Username: email@yourdomain.com You will need to choose your incoming and outgoing server that matches your Control Panel login. You may find this information by logging in to your account page and pressing the Green Button that says "Control Panel". You may find the server name in 2 places.... 1) the address bar at the top of your browser, it will match one of the following server names below 2) the other place is on the far right side under the 'General Information' where the link states 'Server Information', clicking on that will open a new page. The second line will say "Server Information" followed by "EP###", which will match one of the following servers below.
IMAP Port: 993 Outgoing Server: SMTP Port: 465 Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.
WINDOWS HOSTING AND ENTERPRISE EMAIL SETTINGS:SSL Encrypted Email: *SSL encrypted email is highly recommended as this will ensure your sensitive data is transmitted to its destination securely. (Incoming): mail.ephost.com POP3 Port: 995 Type of Encrypted Connection: SSL (Windows)
Notes:* In order to use encryption on your e-mail you must use "mail.ephost.com" as your incoming and outgoing server. This setting does not apply if you are using your ISP's mail servers. ** We require SMTP Authentication! This is the number one support question we receive. Be sure to check the box for *SMTP Authentication* and "Use the same settings as your POP server". Your ISP may require that you send mail through their SMTP or outgoing mail server. Please contact them directly for the proper settings if this is the case. e.g. Cox, Earthlink, SBC/Yahoo ect..
